Nope, no SatNav as an option.

There seem to be two schools of thought on satnav on here - (1) use a PDA like an iPaq and a GPS add-on package or (2) buy a head unit which has satnav built in. BigTed (I think) has an Alpine headunit with a satnav function.

Welcome to the board

(What colour 04, by the way?)

I have a Dell Axim X5 with TomTom Navigator SatNav pack.

Its handy for me as it transfers between cars easily, and I use the PDA functions as well.
Would recommend getting a storgae SD card as well - the full UK map takes up 92Mb.

Thankyou!

I still think that satnav has a way to go before it becomes usefull.

Steven, if you get a PDA version you can add features - for example, a speed camera database is available, giving you RoadAngel-like capability as well.

I too think full-price, dedicated SatNav isn't worth it but the PDA alternatives are much cheaper and offer a lot more.

I also think that PDAs have a long way to go before they become usefull (I have an Ipaq).
