Default Sat Nav

Hi, I am pleased to say i take delivery of my 05 silverstone GT on the 22nd of April and i cannot wait, but i have a question for anyone who can help. I want to put sat nav in my new machine and i was wondering if ...

A:- it is possible

B:- will it have to be "smart nav"

C:- if poss i would like a nice screen.

Any info or pics from people who have would be much appreciated.

I have just read the thread about driving these in the rain or when its cold!!! PLEASE someone tell me i am not going to spin round in circles every time it rains, as this is my only car (a company one ) at that, and the boss will be unhappy to say the least if i were to "modify" its shape on the first couple of days. by the way i am currently driving a Renault Laguna ST so i feel "fun is a this way commin".

Buy a Tom-Tom Go. Then you can keep it when the car goes back to the company.

Lots of us have Ss as our only cars, and get by in the wet. Just got to be careful.

Welcome!

Congratulations on the new arrival. Commiserations on the uninspired choice of colour

The OEM tyres on the 04+ (RE050s) are quite a bit better in the cold and wet than the 99-03 OEM ones (SO2s) - if you take it easy and keep your inputs smooth when the weather isn't optimal, you should be fine. If you take liberties though, the car WILL bite you. Just remember you're driving a 240bhp lightweight RHD roadster, not a Laguna!

It's a four wheeled death trap that will chuck you into the nearest hedge at any oportunity and without so much as tiny hint of warning about it. I'd give you a one in three chance of making it past the end of your road the first time it rains.

Sorry......

could resist. The S is as gentle a pussy cat as any other Honda in the wet or dry. You have to be pretty hamfisted to lose one of these without the aid of a diesel spill.

You're gonna love it.

Either Tom Tom go or Tom Tom via an ipac is your best bet, slideing screen units just dont work in the S

Good choice of colour btw

You'll be from ear to ear !

Remember this is a 240BHP RWD sports car. It's a very different drive from a FWD family saloon, so easy does it when you apply the power !
