Hi

I have heard that these can be repaired but never heard exactly who does it. Can anyone help. I'm in the midlands.

Thanks

Do you have a pic of the damage? How deep is it etc.?

I can get a pic if you like. I would say its medium - not just a light scratch but not really deep.... if you know what i mean!

I'll post a pic probably next weekend.

thanks

How badly can you catch it with your fingernail? Is it less than 0.5mm?

Try Meguiars Scratch X on it first and see what that does. If you're still not happy with it then I'd try a breakers for a new unit next as Honda will spank you for one!

Not scratchX but PlastX. That was the reason why I am asking the question because if it is too deep then chemicals/abrasives won't remove it. He could then wet-sand it and use PlastX to remove the sanding marks.

Scratch-X is a good intermediate stage before the PlastX. Gets hot, but saves hours.

Finish with Plexus.

I can vouch for it, because I just removed the cataracts from the Prelude using that technique.

Oh!

I didnt know there were products out there to do it yourself! I will have a look in Halfrauds on the way home and check them out.

The scratch is about 0.5mm deep so i guess it will be the three products i need.

Thanks guys for the valuable help.... its a shame they dont do similar stuff for scratches on the wheels!

Tamiya aluminium silver paint is quite a good colour match for those!
