Scratched Headrests
Hi.
I've had my used S2000 about 3 weeks now and after looking around for irritating problems left by the previous owner, I've discovered (so far) surprisingly few.
I guess the last owner must have been stowing unsecured items behind the seats which have slid about causing scratches to both the headrest backs.
The passenger side isn't too bad (yet still scratched and annoying), but the drivers side has gone through the silver paintwork down through the plastic to the point so you can see bare white plastic.!
Other than silver paint to patch it up which could look messy, is there anything else anyone could suggest?
Thanks a lot in anticipation..
Bryn.

I found exactly the same problem on my car. I did think it could have been caused by ramming the seat fuly back when reclined and hitting the roll bars?
Or having it on full recline and the sitting in it.
Mine are the same.
I will get them colour coded to the body colour at some point.
Cheers for the resposes so far guys.
Ah, never thought of that being the cause.
You would expect there would be some device to prevent you doing such a thing..
I'll have a look if that is what it is later..
So are they easy to remove? I haven't done much investigation yet and with it being a new toy to me still was reluctant to start poking it with things as yet..

They are held on by spring clips-just get your fingers under the edges and pull and they will pop off.
Very simple to respray IMHO, lightly rub down with v.fine wet+dry with plenty of water to get a smooth finish over the scratched area allow to dry and then respray with your choice of Halfords spray paint.
Lots of light coats allowing a couple of minutes drying between coats finishing with a slightly heavier one to give it a gloss

That's the reason I despise this fashion for painting everything silver.
I've worn the RH corner of this notebook white - in less than a year.
Fortunately, I was able to get a mostly black telephone.
I like the idea of colour-coding though; might as well do that nasty/cheap-looking radio door and those silly bling things round the armrests while you're at it!
Your local motor paint factor should be able to mix you up an aresole from the paint code/swatches.
