Are they all much the same or does anyone have any specific recommendations?

Don't use it mate, it makes marks on the bonnet.

San,

You can only use the washers with the roof up and you can only have the roof up when parked (ok maybe in heavy rain). Therefore it should never run out .

??? My washers work with the roof down, I know because I tried it once and got quite wet.

My point exactly. Headlight washers can reach the car behind and all of in between and the windscreen washers deposit water on the interior of the doors. Maybe it never rains in Japan, as I am sure that would not have been a design oversight

I've been parked behind a car at the traffic lights, when he washed his windscreen, the jets must have been set to wash normally at 120MPH!!! stright over the top of his car, me minding my own business top down obviously!!!! say no more.
