Default scumbag

I was getting out of my car last night at my local climbing wall car park, when I heard this horrible crunch and what sounded like breaking glass. I looked back and saw this guy in a beaten up old Escort reversing into someone's MX5. badly smashed the bumper and rear light cluster.

Then he started to drive off! Me and 2 other guys ran after him shouting "stop!". He duly stopped, put his car into reverse and drove it at us.

I ran along side him and we had a bit of a stand off. I almost dragged the little sh*t out of the car, but thought better of it.

Got his registration and spoke to the MX 5 owner this morning - a young lad who sounded gutted. The police apparently said it wasn't their problem given it occurred on private property. I told the lad to go back to the police and tell them the guy drove at us on a public road etc.

what a f***ing scumbag?

Good job it wasn't my car, because god knows what would have happened to him.

It was the look of "attitude" on the lads face as much as anything. He could only have been 17/18.

what a scrote.. i had a similar thing a few years back where a scumbag reversed into a truck while I was working outside (in the summer home from uni). He broke the light on my truck and then proceeded to try and drive off.. i stopped him, 2 big lads in the car and the driver was apologetic but his passenger was like ' him, lets just go'.. needless to say i went back and picked up a hammer from the tools i was using and invited him to 'step into my office'... he shat himself and his mate paid up for a new light.. i should have used that feckin hammer..

tosser.

And I take my hat off to you for not simply turning the other way (as many might have) and doing something!

God I hate scum... they breed (and dont they just!) more of the same....

I wish I'd done more - extracted him from his car for starters.

Hopefully the lad with the MX 5 will get the police involved and hopefully trace the scum

I was driving down a road the other day near where this incident took place, and saw a Merc SL 55 AMG with a key mark along the entire car length. What is it with some people??

But no doubt then the police would have taken an interest in doing you for assault

I wish Gordon Brown would spend some of his money mountain on sorting out law & order!

I can tell you that the possibility of assault charges was the only thing stopping me!

Has the law changed, and criminal damage on private property isn't a crime?

that is one stupid comment from the rozzers

good on you for this

as for driving his car at you-should get sent down for that (given he did it sounds like he hasn't got insurance/tax/mot and panicked)
