Default Seeking advice on value of imported JDM S2000

I am just about to leave Japan and move to Hong Kong. I am weighing up the choices of what to do with the S2000 and wondered if anyone could give me some advice on the value I would be likely to get for my MCB in the UK if I shipped and sold it there? All paperwork and conversions would be done and the car regsitered etc. in the UK.

Details are First registered Aug '00. Approx 20k Miles. FSH, excellent condition, JDM 6 spoke BBS wheels, sat nav (but won't work in the UK), 6 disk MD changer, realtively new Bridgestone RE01's all round.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Cheers

James

Autotrader.co.uk is probably the best site to see what cars are selling for in the UK.

Am considering taking it to Hong Kong, but have to pay 35% import taxes on the value of the car + cost of shipping + cost of transportation insurance ....... this means that I am looking at 4500 quid in import duties!!

I am also looking into selling in Japan, but worried that I am only looking at getting something like 8-8,500 quid for it here ......

I am just doing the sums to work out what is the best was to deal with it .....

well...could be because the re-sale price in japan sucks??

that's why 1000's of cars per month are exported to all the RHD markets around the world

eSVA does not apply for cars personally owned by expats importing them back to UK..
