seen first Z4 on the road
on way home and a Z4 goes past - so thought would have to see if he was up for any fun
of course was gunmetal silver, and looked ok - v angular from first impressions like the fiat coupe but with more curves between the angles....
had to overtake a golf to get behind him, so he would have know would be up for some fun - but was driving sooo slowly - caused a traffic jam......perhaps being unfair as was running in the car - but i hope that other Z4 drivers will be more fun. bad enough the number of dull boxster driver there are out there.....need some more 'sporty' cars to cruise with

Saw one the other day - dull silver, left hooker with German plates driving around with the top up
Didn't do anything for me I'm afraid
Still, I enjoyed
past him in topless fashion of course

I saw one this morning on the M6....
I'm not just saying this, but I was not impressed with the look at all. I know very little about the mechanicals of it, but from what I have heard it doesn't sound too bad at all, however.......
Everybody goes on their initial reaction, and mine was, it's just not my cup of tea at all!! I'd go as far to say that, looks wise, I'd much prefer the Z3.
Not impressed, and I think S2000 owners DEFINATELY have nothing to worry about with road presence. The Z4 is just not as individual - to me, it could have just as easily had a Mazda badge on it and I wouldn't have queried it.
I'm not saying they are pig ugly - it just doesn't situp and slap you in the face and grab your attention.
Just my 2p rolling across the floor.....

Someone on my street has just bought one in silver and saw a black one with top down recently driving back from Marlow.
IMHO, looks good from the back and like the rear lights. Side profile, back end looks too short, hood is too bulky, front end too long and looks like it's sitting up, powerboat style. Don't like the front at all, too bulbous, round and fat generally.
Guess it's quite different from the low, aggressive bonnet line of our car. Even when it is sitting still the S2K looks like it's lunging forward!
Goregous...don't think I'll ever get bored of looking at it!
As they say, beauty is in the eye of the beholder and each to their own. I am sure the Z4 will sell well.
I do like the way the top folds down though!

One in the car park here, silver. Like the look; longer bonnet than the S, shorter boot, nice lines. Inside looks just like any other BMW; guess I was hoping for more. I need to play in one, but I could be tempted...
Check this thread and how I caused a big argument a few days ago.
