Default Selling.....

Hi All,

I know I've only had it for 3 months, but it seems that my calculations were incorrect and I don't think I can afford to keep my baby anymore. Just a quick note to find out what people think I should ask for it.

It's 3/4 months old, MCB, about 3500 miles. Registered 01/01/03. 52 number plate.
Years Tax, etc.

Is it a stupid idea to see what Honda will by it for?

Any ideas gratefully received......

Sad that you have to get rid of it Alison. What were the costs you miscalculated? Running it?

It's a full UK car, imported from Europe? (Does this make sense? Registered in UK)

I don't know what happened really, I'm starting a new job in London next month, and it's the train fares that are gonna cripple me....plus I don't want to leave it in the station car park all day.

I'm gonna try and figure out all my sums tonight properly. I really don't want to part with it, but it's pointless me keeping it if I can't afford to put petrol in it and it stays on the drive all week!!!!!

Cheers

Keep it! Mine is nearly always snuggled in the warm garage during the week and then I drive her like crazy on the weekend! The insurance does drop when you limit the miles.

My insurance is

I have the answer - get a new job outside of London where there is amble secure employee parking.

Property is alot cheaper in the Midlands so you should be able to afford a pay cut and keep the car.

If it's an EU import and you're not buying another Honda, a Honda dealer probably won't be interested in it.

For an EU of it's age I would try to sell at 22k, although you may have to settle for 21k.

I've regretted not getting another S since the day mine went back to the garage. I would keep it if at all possible.

Good luck

none of u are helping!!!! I really don't want to sell it, I don't think I'd ever be as satisfied with another car. But at least I've had the pleasure! Never know - might win the lottery tomorrow!!
