Does anyone have any experience with Devonshire Motors in Barnstaple? It's described as a "Service Outlet".

Otherwise, what about Hendy Honda in Exeter?

I've searched but the only posts I could find were from three and ten years ago for Hendy, and nothing for Devonshire.

I used Howards at Weston-Super-Mare last year but we've moved to North Devon since and it's a bit of a trek back there.

I used Devonshire motors up until last year, never had a problem if not a little expensive.

 

Thanks for that. The service/MOT is due in September, so I'll call in next week and get a feel for the place.

 

Like I said I never had a problem, I found them approachable and easy to deal with. I don't use them because I have trouble parting with the cash when it comes to there service charges. They did repair the rear end of my car when it was taken out by a lorry and I couldn't fault the service.
Any major works that need doing I take it to Dave Baskerville at Brynsworthy.

FYI...

Devonshire Motors in Barnstaple (a Mitsubishi dealer and Honda Service Outlet) have quoted £241 for the 63k/84 months service plus MOT for £35. They use Mobil 1, but I can supply my own oil (with a reduction).

Hendy in Exeter want £250 plus £55. The car's done 25k miles, and they tried to tell me that it needed a 27k service, despite me telling them that the service last year was the 54k one!

Howards at Taunton quote £265 plus £45 and Weston Super Mare quoted £280 plus £45, although they'd "price match" their Taunton branch's quote. That's big of them. WSM did it last year, although they initially put the wrong oil in and had to change it.
