Default Servicing Query...

I think the time has come to possibly service my S.

It was bought new in Jan 04. Then serviced in Dec 04 having done 8k.
Then in Jun 05 having done 18k.
Its now done almost 25k and is 2 years old on Saturday.

Should I have it serviced now? or wait till the 27k/36month period?

Also as it has a PRM fitted what maintenance should I be doing to this and should I leave it on if it goes to a dealer for service?

Lots of question I know, but your help is much appreciated.

Cheers!

It is actually due for service 12 months from the last one - June 2006 or when it reaches 27000 miles whichever occurs first.

You can leave the PRM on - never caused me a problem with dealer / warranty.

You should just clean the PRM as you would a K&N filter

Davey is right about the service period.

Cheers Guys.

I'll make some time to clean the filter in the PRM, just have to set some time aside to work out how it comes apart

..and then get it booked in for when its about 27k...prolly in a month. I think I might need new brake pads at the front too..all adds to the cost.

See M9 JOC's thread lower down - I explained how it comes apart for Lurking Lawyer
