Default She died on the highway

Been a while since i posted on here so hello again. As the title says was on the highway the other day and the engine just lost all power and died, i had noticed a slight misfire a few days leading up to this but only on tick over. tried restarting but with no joy, battery fine and alternator charging it so its got power. any ideas guys. A good friend who has looked it over and he seems to think crank sensor which prced at around 140 i think. any help would be great and if anyone knows of a second hand sensor let me know

thanks again

Welcome back
I'd guess the CEL light came on?
If so pull the codes that will give you a head start!
Long shot but - check the fuel pump and ignition fuses

Was the CEL light on / flashing? Seems odd for it to just die.

Has it got oil and coolant in it?

I presume you were in the USA? Highway Sorry, couldn't resist!

That's not a good sign
You really need to pull the code from the OBD port

Or take it to a dealer if you don't know how to do that.

Where you located i could read the code for you?

I'm located in the lakes.

As the others say a flashing CEL light is not good, it could be a number of thing did it just die or go with a bang?, any visual damage to engine?
