Default Shell Optimax sites

In response to some the posts in this forum I've started running my S on Optimax only.

The only Shell station I pass regularly is on the way up to the g/f's so I've been trying to time my refills there so as not to have to 'contaminate' it with my local Tesco fuel. However, when you're 'out and about' in unknown territory and getting low (as i was the other w/e!) you don't necessarily know where to find them!

I enquired at the Shell garage about a map, expecting them to have one, but to my great surprise they dont.

So..I emailed Shell this morning asking how I'm supposed to use their product if I dont know where to purchase it (the WWW is no good to me if i'm in the car!).

I received the following prompt reply:

[QUOTE]Unfortunately we have no site directories to send out at present. Please find attached a spreadsheet of Optimax sites,

I have taken the Shell file that Mark has, and added a version from BP that has all their BP Ultimate sites, in to Auto Route Express 2005. If any one wants a copy of the resulting .AXE file (500k) with the 2 networks as different push pins, to import into Autoroute Express 2005 please PM me.(likewise if you want the raw BP excel file (zipped 102k))

Some 1200 BP sites, & 800 Shell. Resulting map does show some deserts where planning might be sensible, given the propensity for the last 6 bars on my fuel gauage to vanish in about 20 miles.

Sorry no idea, have no experience of Tom-Tom. What input format do you need? The base Excel files are simple 2D table - one row of column headings & multiple rows of data. AE 2005 uses the address to determine the location, about 10% "fail" as the address formats are not that consistent (I just take the 1st guess AE offers). You may get some clues on using this in Tom-Tom from PocketGPSWorld.com Safety Camera Database ?
