Default Shrill whistle

My s2000 has developed a noise best described as a shrill whistle when accelerating .
I vaguely remember reading a similar post but can't remember where or what was said. With the roof up you can barely hear it.
I haven't taken it anywhere regarding this issue yet but any help much appreciated.

I'd be inclined to go with intake/throttle body whistle. I've heard cracked exhaust manifolds cause a high pitched whistle before so worth checking that to be sure you've not got a cracked primary on there.

You've got me paranoid now. I can near a faint noise which is akin to a swift robotic arm. A *swoosh* kind of sound upon accelerating.

Hearing (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZKfhW6JG3C8#t=22s) sounds a bit extreme, no?

I guess the bigger question is it causing any damage and does it require an immediate fix. I reckon that's a no...

If you manage to track down the culprit, please keep me posted.

Good luck!

You need to clean out your IACV and throttle butterfly although a slight whistle on part throttle is just 'one of those things' on this car.
