side light bulbs
After doing a search on here i dont want to go down the led road as it seems they dont last long , is there any stanard type bulbs that shine white or whiter than the standard ones that anyone can recommend and will the philips silvavision indicator off set pin bulbs fit my 03 model, thankyoub
The new leds from Ultraleds are supposed to be much better.
The key is to fit them by not touching them (use a clean cloth) the ones I fitted in my S2000 back 2 years ago are still going strong.
Normal bulbs are naf IMO, just go for the later leds from Ultra

Mine have been in over a year now and been fine, if fitted correctly the life of an LED is much longer than that of a filement lamp
I got mine on ebay, called 'quad LEDs' (4 clustered together). Fitted them to both mine and my old man's S, going strong 6 months on... time will tell I guess. They are visible even in sunlight (although that would be pointless) and functional in twilight. They look pretty good too!
This is interesting.
I have been looking into fitting LED sidelights but I have been put off by what seems to be most people's opinion that the LEDs last a few weeks at best.
Not to mention it sounds to be quite tricky changing the sidelight bulbs.
1) Any one else had a positive experience with the "later" Ultra LEDS?
2)Why is it so important not to touch the bulb and use a clean cloth?
Thanks in advance for your replies/opinions
