Default Silvers.....

Interestingly UK dealers are still taking orders for Silverstone S2000's in MY02 spec....

Yellow cars are being delivered in March....

The new blue (dark blue metallic) is not a recommended colour for the S2000....

Yep - my 2002 is called Silverstone - my impression is that it is lighter and brighter than my 'V' test drive - but I have a poor colour memory

The MY02 Silverstone is brighter than mine as my car was dirty! It looks the same to me, and when compared to Sebring the Sebring looks more like aluminium (in other words no other colour tones) than silver.....

Very few orders for Yellow in the UK yet. Early deliveries should be guaranteed, or discounts available. Aparently there's a fixed quota of yellow coming in....

Having seen Beno's 02 in the flesh at the Windsor meet, i can confirm that the Silverstone is exactly as was...no Sebring silver for UK.

The Nurburgring Blue is light metallic blue, more like a sky blue, similar to BMW's estoril blue, no delivery times were available when i was ordering my 02 silverstone, althogh there was an Indy Yellow due in at the end of the month.

My problem (if it is one) - is that I have only seen 4 S2000's since I became interested in them back in June 01. And none since I've owned one.
Boxsters - yes, TVR's - yes, proper Porsches - yes.
Maybe I should drive thro' Fleet.

Don't agree on the dark blue metallic as not being recommended -

I think most colours look good on the S2000 when you see them in the flesh, apart from a pink or something. In the UK you are starved of examples to look at with your naked eye - I am lucky to see at least 4 or 5 per week. I was driving behind a white one the other day and thought, that's a really cool car - then I suddenly realised WoW! I'm driving one myself! I never had a car which gave me this good feeling before.

I wanted a dark colour and it was either black or this blue,

Im in agreement with you on this one Kobe... I love dark coloured sports cars. I wish this midnight blue was an option over here when I got mine ! Either Dark Blue metallic or Black... they just look so mean and NASTY !!

Comes down to resale. Dealers can sell on silver cars easier than any other colour. Makes a small difference to your resale value. Not much to fall out about

Silver cars shift faster
