Default Siting the ICE Dash Control Interface

As previously posted, I'm having a dash control interface made for a new Blaupunkt Woodstock DAB head unit that'll be fitted in the next fortnight. Unfortunately, I don't think the dealer that will supply and fit the head unit has actually fitted one to an S before, which makes me slightly nervous

Can anyone give me any pointers in terms of fitting advice that I can pass on? Presumably the interface is simply wired between the cable(s) running from the dash controls and the head unit and located out of sight somewhere behind the dash?

That's reassuring ...

In his last email (responding to my enquiry about a price for fitting), the Blaupunkt dealer's response was along the lines of "dunno, depends whether or not I have to strip down the dash" ...
