Default sliding school?

Morning lads. Hope you're enjoying your 2000's on these slippy roads as much as me

While great fun, I'd like to get better at it. Does anyone know of a good school which teaches drifting / sliding in the London or South East area? I've tried a few, but they either want to put me in a modified FWD car on a skid pan, or sell me 2 days intensive road driving followed by an hour on the pan.

I just want someone who will improve my oversteer skills in my own car, or one very similar.

I'm in London, so Brands is easily got to, Silverstone ok too. Rockingham wouldn't be the end of the world.

Rockingham has a skid pan facility. It's bloody hard to control the S2000 on it!

There is a track day there in a few months (see meets section) and the skid pan may be open then. Best to confirm with Lower first.

Other than that I would recommend the Andy Walsh day at North Weald airfield. Check it out at www.carlimits.com
Good luck

Nick

I'd recommend one of the carlimits.com days at North Weald airfield. I've not done one of the full courses as I did a Don Palmer one a few years back but I did do one of their 'activity days' for

Purchase this and find a nice open space to practise.

Another vote for Andy Walsh. You'll have to do a few days if it's drifting (I hate that term!) you're really interested in.

Where are you planning to put the skills into practice though? If it's on the road hopefully the training will persuade you that that's a twat's game
