Thumbs up Smartnav

I am seriously considering putting "Smartnav" in my car, has anyone tried it or had it installed? Any suggestions where to locate the button? I know it is considerably more expensive than one of the "off the shelf" gadgets but i cannot abide those big arm things that you have to stick on the windscreen so thats why i chose this route!! Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

They have them in the courtesy cars at brindley honda and i find it pretty good. I didnt use the traffic feature as there wasnt any traffic problems but i can imagine it would be very effective.

It only has a monochrome screen but it is as easy to use as the Medion GPS i have now (with the big arm!) I would get one if they were better priced - when mine is obselete, i think the price will be better.

I was thinking of the one without the screen! i already have a parrot bluetooth phone thingie stuck to my dash and i didn't fancy making the car look like the starship enterprise! but thanks for the info anyway.

Apologies for hijacking the thread, but I'd be interested to learn more about your Parrott install if you have the time to spare?

Well done that man, it looks really good. Just a little unsure as to how it would be looking down from the screen so much inan area you were lost in. I guess listenin to the voice directions alone ?!?

A couple of guys at work have this, they RAVE about it!!

He presses the button, voice comes on. He says I'd like to get to gatwick aiport please, I need to fill up with fuel on the way, order a pizza to be delivered to the kids at home, and please can you get me some flowers for the wife.

He doesn't have any screen, just voice directions. and it redirects if he hits traffic too.

All done for him and he gets directions sounds cool
