Default Snooper!

I'm thinking of buying a camera detector like a road angel or snooper and wondered which is best? I already have Sat nav but not great.

I had a Road Angel Professional Connected, which has a SIM card and updates the database automatically. It proved very worthwhile when I was covering most of the South East in my previous life.

Since I retired I haven't bothered with it. If I'm not sure about the area i'm going to I use my sat nav, which has a camera database. Most decent sat navs have a camera database these days, and these are probably your best solution.

Are Snooper GPS enabled these days? before I bought the Road Angel I used a Snooper, but it only picked up radar and something else which I've forgotten. It didn't pick up Truvelo cameras, as proven by the ticket I got for doing 48mph in a temporary 40mph limit near Silverstone, but it would detect automatic door openers whenever I drove past a supermarket.

I wouldn't bother with a laser detector. When a laser is detected it's already too late.

Whatever you use or get, DON'T take it to France. They are illegal there.
