Some information please
I am hopefully going to buy me an S2000 some time in the next year.
I was really pleased to stumble across this website, which I have found very informative. However, a couple of things are puzzling me.
When people refer to the 02 or 03 - is that the 2002 and 2003 model of the car. Are there any differences?
Also - are SO2's the standard tires that come with the car.
Finally - is there any noticable performance difference between using regular unleaded and super unleaded (97 Ron) petrol? How many miles do you typically get out of a full tank?

As Roadkill said but I would emphasise that you should really run the S2000 on at least 97 ron fuel, it will run on 95 but 97+ is better. Cue Roadkill to explain how he uses 95 ron fuel as he lives on his own private island and can't get anything else pumped over!

Another thing I had been wondering about - do any of you happen to have a price list for the official Honda accessories listed in the brochure eg. side skirts etc. I have asked the Honda dealer, but with no luck.

I get about 30 mpg on average.
Theoretically 330 miles on the tank but I've never run over 300 miles on the tank for fear of running out!
Must really get a jerry can and test how far it will go! The gauge on the S is not the most accurate of gauges!

Not yet being an owner (yet) I am, perhaps, on shaky ground here. I am opening myself to possible abusive flack from Mr C etc - but here goes.
I assume the capacity of the petrol tank is in the manual. You run your car for the 300 miles or whatever feels safe and then fill it up. You can then simply do a bit of subtraction (capacity of tank less petrol just purchased) and, hence, work out how much petrol there was left in the tank when you filled up. You then know what the bars mean on the gauge, removing a worry from future fuel crises.
Of course you have to know the tank's capacity in the first place. My experience is the manufacturers usually understate this.
Using this approach I regularly run my Focus on fumes.
One of my earlier car had a warning light that I subsequently proved meant "you have 15 litres of petrol left". That was far too early a warning - so I used to ignore it - then forget how long I had ignored it - and then run out. Five times. I eventually drained the tank - put five litres back in - took the gauge out and bent the wire arm that caused the warning lamp to light so it just came on - SORTED - no more problems.
Probably run out on the way home now
