Default Some Progress Pics

A tiny bit of history, my car was a well looked after full service history car that has been garaged for much of its life and when I bought it arrived with the odd sign of ageing. The drivers seat bolster and gear knob were worn and scratched, the wheels were all suffering from laquer lift or whiteworm and the geometry as out as it had signs of uneven tyre wear. Having said that it was still one of the best exmaples I had come across after looking at many and came from a good home, someone on here I believe.

Since ownership began in March of this year I have had the following work/parts repaired or replaced and the car is fast approaching where I want it to be so thought I'd share some pics following one of those rare sunny days.

I bought the car for some weekend or sunny weather fun but mainly because I have always admired the s2000 from afar and was fortunate enough to have a little money to indulge myself, although this was meant to be a short term ownership I am already trying to find winter storage so fingers crossed.

New Bridgestones all round
Geometry by Centre of Gravity
Had slight leak into boot fixed
Replaced drivers seat with excellent used one.
Replaced Gear Knob with refurb
Replaced Stereo cover for face lift metal affect one.
New Interior Mats
New OSR Brake Caliper @ refurb of all existing calipers and hubs
Full service at T1 Motorsport (Tegiwa) including TCT check, valve adjustment and all fluids.

To do :-

Steering wheel refurb (awaiting collection thanks to Robin A3)
Paint - 3 small stone chips NSR. (Bodyshop during winter months, must make the most of the sunshine)

The car is an Aug 2002 GT model complete with hardtop and 74000 miles, it now drives very well and feels both secure and awesome in the handling department, in my opinion I feel as though the S2000 could do with a littel more sound at low revs but of course when in vtec its amazing, I have considered intakes etc but am keen to keep the car original, I have already reached the point of no return from an expenditure perspective but lets not tell the wife eh ?!

Pics to follow in a moment

If you think you could do with a little more sound, but want to keep it original then you should have a look at the 'Exhaust mod' its a cheap modification but makes the car sound pretty amazing.

TBH I booked the car in for a full service and all fluids change plus TCT as I had a slight rattle on warm start.
Liam the mechanic carried all the service work took a look at the TCT but wasnt convinced there was anything wrong with it, he felt the rattle I heard was related to valve clearance. The adjustments were made and my rattle has never re-appeared since, apologies if TCT check was misleading

I will consider the exhaust mod as its in keeping with my oem plans.

For me the charm of the S2000 is the fact that it is so different to my turbo charged daily drive with wonderful direct steering and a back to basics transmission noise it transports me to 'proper' motoring.
