Default SOS Gauge pods

I have a 2 dial SOS gauge.

I removed the stock plastic shield today to discover that you need to modify it and cut a section out. You need to cut a section out to enable use of the stock heater vent? - Is this normal?

Bit of a flaw

yes its normal, i drilled a series of 6mm holes rather than cut a hole in it, it looks neater and you dont loose strength and shape. make sure you seal it against the internal duct or you blow the hot air inside the pod and cook the back of the gauges

Ah should of drilled holes,

I cut out an oblong shape (with my dremel then finished with a file) and used mesh. I will be using some old foam and a glue from a glue gun to seal like OEM.

Any fitting tips? - as i have not secured it yet just test fitted it.

Cheers
