im thinking of dumping my spare wheel and getting that tyre weld stuff so i can shift my cd changers and amp into the space.

Anyone else done this is it a good idea?

Whats the score with these tyre weld items?

I guess they repair the puncture?, so you can blow the tyre up again?

But how long does it last and does it render the tyre un-reapairable after using the tyre weld?

cheers

It is a get me home fix. Some screw up the tyre, some don't

Most screw up the tyre.

And I've been tempted. Glad I didn't recently as I needed the spare. Would have been expensive to replace a tyre.

AFAIK Screwing up the tyre is a myth created by tyre monkeys because they hate cleaning the awful mess it leaves from the inside of the tyre.
Easier to sell you an new one
You are more likely to damage the tyre from running it flat before you notice the puncture.
Like i did to a new tyre
I did ~150 miles on tyre weld on the last France trip
Make sure you don't go fast and you check the tyre pressure regularly
