Are speed cameras the real problem?
Gotta agree. I LOATH spped cameras of all types unless they're near schools, in built-up areas where very young and old folks are crossing the road, and established accident blackspots. One of the weekly car mags last week had a feature on speed cameras which ID'd Sussex (I think.... or Surrey?) as being the WORST County in England for sppeding fines........ and an escalation in road fatalities of late...... too many poor sods too busy looking for the feckin cameras as opposed to watching what's happening as regards other traffic/road hazards.
Let's face it, the police are onto this as a MAJOR source of EASY revenue....... and you can take THAT to the bank.
Yours annoyed (but now with a speed camera detector newly fitted).

LTB,
Further thinks............. Mine's hardwired. Only prob is that it goes beserk every time you go past a garage or supermarket/shop with auto doors. I'm just changing my 03 S2K for an 04, and when I get the 'Cheetah' re-fitted, I'm gonna try and get a manual switch included in the circuit somewhere (unobtrusive) so I can turn it off and on manually......... can't really use the cigarette lighter to power it given its position behind one's left elbow.

Went over the Woodhead pass today, which is a twisty, windy section of road and very difficult to overtake (especially when there are two trucks nose to tail at the front - sigh). When you reach the end of the windy bit, the road widens into three crawler lanes, which should be superb for getting past those trucks.
BUT! The bastards have put fcuking specs cameras at the top and bottom of each crawler lane, almost to spite drivers. Fcuking fuming I was
