Spoon filter?

Spoon filter?
Been offered a Spoon filter for a very good price (brand new too)
how loud would it be compared to standard with the lid off?
I will be adding the snorkle and cutting the blanking bit out, maybe drill a few holes in the top of the airbox lid!
Does an aluminum pipe from the throttle body to the standard airbox make any difference?
Cheers

Spoon filter is foam IIRC and I would not use it as its not that good at its job filtration! Especially with a snorkle as when you use a snorkle the filter gets covered in crap really quickly.

I run one and the snorkle plus the air box mods . I doubt you will notice any increase in noise.
To my way of thinking ,driling holes in the top of the air box lid will negate the use of the snorkle . Cold air is forced in to the air box from the snorkle, when you are on the move.
Holes = cold air escaping from the air box . Hot air can enter into the box which is never a good thing.
Aly pipe, bling IMO

You wont notice any increase in sound I'm afraid.
Aluminium pipe, i dont think that will make much difference either IIRC the inside of the stock pipe is smooth inside too, its just its made of of black plastic and heats up slightly.
Dont drill holes in the airbox, heat is the enemy.
IMHO stock air intake system can only be improved on a little bit.
