Default Squeaky creaky timing belt?

Started up this afternoon and immediately noticed an unfamiliar sound. Sounded like it was coming from the rear so got out had a listen - rear end was fine. Opened the bonnet, and hey presto, there's the squeaking/creaking noise.

Being about as far removed from a meachanic as is possible I am but guessing here that it was my timing belt - or some associated part where the noise is coming from. Certainly louder than it has been in the two previous months of ownership.

Any ideas?

it has a chain not a belt for the timing

might have been the aux belt that drives the alt and aircon

Agreed. I will have a quick chat with my friendly neighbourhood mechanic tomorrow morning. If it can be DIYd I'd rather do that. I mean, its not really really loud, but it is irritating.

I thought it was under warranty? If so let Honda do the work.

Squirt WD40 into your belt tensioner bearing & see if the note changes.
