SRS light on
just sold my s today, but one thing is bothering me, when I left the man looking around the car , when I came back the SRS light on the dash was lit up but a hour earlier I started the car took it for a run and there were no lights on at all, so he barted me down on price saying he would have to take it to a dealer and that would cost
SRS can only be reset by suitable code reader, like Snap-on Scanner with Honda SRS pin or Hondas own set up.
I would say if the car started up and ran without the light on the squib and control unit are ok so IMO the seat belt pretentioners could be at fault.
Check that the wires under each seat are connected correctly. It is advised that if you are tampering with any air-bag wiring (Yellow wires) always disconnect the battery first.
I had my SRS light turned off for free at Honda Worcester, the Birmingham branch wanted

No other specialist equipment is required at all. It is simply a question of connecting/disconnecting at set times, in line with a sequence of flashing lights.
It's all in the manual.

I would not think they need replacing, its usually down to the wiring under the seat getting snagged, check both seat wirings are neat and connected properly then maybe try the above techniques to turn off the SRS light.
