Don't know about making it come on, but it can be reset in five minutes.

Details are in the manual, which I don't have to hand at the moment.

SRS can only be reset by suitable code reader, like Snap-on Scanner with Honda SRS pin or Hondas own set up.

I would say if the car started up and ran without the light on the squib and control unit are ok so IMO the seat belt pretentioners could be at fault.

Check that the wires under each seat are connected correctly. It is advised that if you are tampering with any air-bag wiring (Yellow wires) always disconnect the battery first.

I had my SRS light turned off for free at Honda Worcester, the Birmingham branch wanted

If we are talking about the SRS warning light, it's done with a simple connector, which costs about a fiver. I have the reference somewhere.

No other specialist equipment is required at all. It is simply a question of connecting/disconnecting at set times, in line with a sequence of flashing lights.

It's all in the manual.

you can get the light on by removing the fuse.

the light can be removed by shorting two wires together and off as the srs light flashes on and off.

I would not think they need replacing, its usually down to the wiring under the seat getting snagged, check both seat wirings are neat and connected properly then maybe try the above techniques to turn off the SRS light.
What exactly are the above techniques? Anybody have a definitive method?
