Could this not potentially damage the car? Its running great as far as Im concerned but I wouldnt want to do long term damage?

Tell the insurance its a modified air filter, and no it wont damage the car!!

I'd buy phils original and put it back to stock, but thats just me.
That may of been on the car for years? who knows what condition the filter is in.

Can you open it and check the filter is sound, ie, fine enough to filter all the small sand/dust particals that need filtering and also clean enough to let maximum air through.

It could even be a washable filter.

Check out whats inside, looks like a fairly good setup if you ask me, but I am no expert !

I have a stock intake I could sell you, was going to keep it but its sat collecting dust for the last 6 years.

I assume our intakes are the same though your engine is layed out a tad different but the engine is still in the same layout

(I have an american s2k)
