Thanks for all the positive comments! Only now have I been financially able to get one. That and the addition of my beater makes it right!
I've been doing a little bit of dori, enough to know that the diff locks up quite sharp and rear breaks traction quite quickly compared to the open diff MR2. Throttle response is great so that makes things easier
I can also see why its dangerous - not a car for the uncouth!
I was on a private road and it appears that the JDM speed restrictor is in place. Out with the Apexi RSM then!
Reagrding pedal layout, the throttle does seem to be a bit further recessed than i'd like, but i've adjusted nicely and toe&heeling is back to norm
As for steering feel - I found it more than communicative enough - I don't know why everyone whinges about it?!
Gearbox feels VERY similar in tactility to my ITR box on my old Civic, but a slightly shorter throw. I change with fingers and thumbs - excellent!
S2K nut - Not too local, live in Crewe which is 40 miles away. Must say, Ormskirk is a nice place though!

Welcome mate! Crewe's not far from me in Chester. Should be quite a few meets in range for you. North Wales meet at the end of this month springs to mind! Enjoy the car. Almost a year on and I still went out excited this morning to put the roof down for the drive to work in the sunshine.
