Stolen S2000
Yes, I have Gap insurance, so should be ok. I am still unsure about getting a replacement S, tough it is true that if they want it, not a lot will stop them - and that is the worry.
A damn shame, it was my dream car too.

sorry for your loss matey,
Note dyour comment re; gap insurance??? I was offered this when i bought mine? kindly declined.
I pay a not insignificant amount of money to have my car insured and for that I expect all the 'benefits' of gap insurance - ie, replacement like for like vehicle or market value? (based on used prices at the time).
With your policy - will you be gettign the price you paid for the car back, or list price? these were all offered to me, but thought it was 'jsut another form of tax'. If everyone boycotted such schemees they would not existin and insurers would have to pay up....
whatever next....paying to have a pee on a plane?!?!

Sorry to hear that... mine was stolen about 18 months ago, then found 3 days later by the police in a side street nearby. Only a few extra miles on the clock as well.
Was worried about getting it back but frankly haven't looked back since and still drive it like it's stolen most days myself anyway :-)
Hope yours works out well...

I really am sorry for your loss there
It may be worth adding to this thread on Pistonheads

Chris Nott were good for me - £620 fully comp, parked on the driveway and a london postcode. They were particulary good given that my previous 4 year claim free classic policy doesn't qualify for NCD, but they gave it to me anyway.
Definitely worth a shot.

Glad to see you got an S in the end and not a z3m (they are scary around corners!!!
)To the original OP sorry to hear about your loss, i lost my first S too, but the reincarnation after the initial insurance whack was much better. Hope you have a swift resolution. For what its worth my first S was broken and stolen to order It was lifted on the back of a truck - it was on ebay after 8 days. It took our great police force 8 months to overcome ebay, afterwhich there was nothing left.
