Default Stone Chips

I've had the car for less than a month (only a couple of stone chips on the bonnet prior to buying the car), and there are now so many small stone chips on the car!!

Is the paintwork on the car really bad? or is it because the car is so low? Suprised to have so many with only an extra 500 miles! (mixture of motorway and enjoyable driving )

Leave a bigger gap between you and the car / truck in front?

Having had mine for 6 months, it's beginning to look like I should budget for a bumper / bonnet respray in another couple of years.

Mind you... driving round Bruntingthorpe for a photoshoot in close formation with other Honda chums did nothing for the front-end acne

Glad to hear its not only me with this problem. It's annoying, only tiny paint chips, most probably 1mm across. Frustrating cos I like the car to look perfect And I don't drive close to the car in front either!

Don't beat yourself up about it and be thankful you don't have a Berlina Black or a RNBP - they show up stonechips like a bitch

I've got tons too. I've touched up the worst, but that only tends to look a little bit better.

Paint seems very poor - I don't know how much of that is related to soft environmentally approved stuff they have to use nowadays, or whether it's just Honda.

Paint on my '99 SAAB 9-5 was certainly far superior.

My front is in a shocking state. Frankly it's beyond anything polish can save. I keep wishing there was some kind gunk I could "smooth" over it, but suspect I may have to either respray or replace the front bumper ...
