Stone Chips
Hello,
Stone Chips,
Bain of my Life,
Is there anything at all i can do to help protect the paint more other then stop driving it?
I now have a dent in the door (thanks for Leaving your Details
), A Scuffed Bumper (again thanks for Details
) and so many Stone chips,
I also now have a nice little dent in the front from where one hit just above the Bumper, Taking it all the way to bear Metal,
I have touched it up the best i can but still looks Rubbish,
So is there anything at all i can do to help stop Stone Chips? Or lower the ammount of damage they do?
I know the Honda paint is not the best but its getting beyond a joke now,

Spend £2K on Ventureshield.
Or respray every 2-3 years.

That will be pretty much a no then,
Guess i will be Keeping even further back from any cars from now on,
Cheers Gaspode,
Also another quick question,
Does every S2000 gather hundreds of small stones and grit in the rear number plate holder/Surround?
I offen spend 20+ Mins getting all the stones out everytime it is cleaned,
Or just another thing to put up with?
2 Minor Floors with the Car and the other are Peoples Fault

Still love it though,
Stonechips make no difference to the driving experience.I bought mine with loads (it was a motorway hack for it's first 3 years) and thought I'd do something about them. 6 years on and they're still there.
I understand if you want an immaculate car. But it is something that will cost you money.
A good front end respray should be around £500-£700 I think.
On the rear bumper - yes. I've never bothered cleaning mine out though.
If you want to look like you live in the States, get one of these....

Not that difficult if you just cover the easy bits and easily removable.
