Thumbs down Strange throttle noise?

I have noticed a strange noise when the pedal is about a quarter or so down? If I put my foot down slowly it almost sounds like a bird cheeping and the same when I lift off to that point. I can hold it on the exact point and its more of a squealing sound but goes when I depress a tiny bit more or less?

It only seems to do it when the engine in gear, I tried briefly in neutral (though not too much as I was in a posh restaurant car park at the time)

Bit worried as previous car had strange sounds at certain revs (this isn't at certain revs though) and it was the cambelt that went. I know these have a chain so unsure if that is what the sound is??

Fretting a bit, I hope someone knows what it might be

Cold air intake. Are you running an aftermarket air intake, or just the stock box?

It's your clutch.

Nothing to worry about

Stock

Lid is off though (and have only noticed it since doing so?)

Have you heard of similar tales?

It could be the air intake "whistling" My PRM used to do it.

Sounds are difficult on a forum!

Have done a few searches on google (their's always works ) and a few CTR's seem to have this problem too?

Thing is I wouldn't describe it as a whistle, more like a tiny set of keys jingling (god, i'm going mad!) Its just weird that the first time I heard it was today?

Is there anything I can check/fiddle with?

it might be the ringing shifter, although that is usually when revs coming down.
