Default Suitable paint for calipers

Quick question for those of you who have painted your calipers......

I want to do mine in black. Checked in Halfords and they seem to do caliper paint but did not have it in black. However, they had some other paints there (in the same section) that were heat resistant (to varying temperatures) and were for use on engine blocks etc.

Can I use any of these paints or does it have to be the caliper one?. If the latter, any idea where I can get black from?.

Neil, did they have red? If yes, how much?

Think I would like to do mine.

IIRC.........they had red, blue and maybe yellow (?). Quite a small tin but assume enough to do four calipers. Think it came in at around

The stuff you bought in Halfords........where was it?. I was looking on a shelf with a load of specialist paints. Was it somewhere else?. Sounds like exactly the sort of thing I need!.

It wasn't with the paints, it was with the boy racer stuff like grills, wheels and exhausts. Was really hard to find, just stashed in a corner.

I spent hours looking, figured it would be quicker than asking an employee

Gotcha!......been lookin' in the wrong place!. Will go check it out asap!. Also agree with the approach........if I ask in Halfords I'll have to spend the next 30 minutes explaining what a caliper is!.

Ta!!
