Default supercharged s2

hey guys, i got an s2 with a tts supercharger bolted on, running at 455bhp at the wheels, just bought some tien mono flex coilovers and need to upgrade brakes, probably 6 pot. any experience with the tien mono flex or big brakes? want to get brakes for under a grand.

455whp?! Bloody hell.

30 odd more than me!

As for Tien Monoflex, I had them on my track based S2000 and they are superb. Just the right amount of adjustment for road and track imo. The Loon has them on his car now, but I think he finds them a little hard for road use.

Brakes wise you will struggle to find any aftermarket kit like AP / Brembo / Stoptech which fits under the OEM wheels. There just isn't enough clearance, and it's also tricky trying to find wheels which will clear your brake kit of choice. You can run spacers and extended studs but not something I liked the idea of.

I think Tarox do a 4 / 6 / 10 pot kit which will fit under OEM whees.

For brake, you will not find anything under a grand with aftermarket caliper

We have just custom made a set with AP racing running 6 pot front and 4 pot rear with Pro 5000+ series caliper. This is for a S2000 running 500bhp racing in GT series in China, whole kit was just a little bit above £5K.

The other supercharge S2000 we built is now running 400whp, he is only using Dixcel FCR SD front, FCR Plain disk rear and R01 pad all round and it gives more than enough stopping power for track use, that car can lap Brands hatch under 54 secs so we pushed it hard as well!

For suspension, Tein quality is not as good as before now. Best is look at something like Nitrons, that is just over £1k for the basic kit, if you are on budget then go for something like Meister R.

See here for the Dixcel brakes http://www.racepartshop.com/brands/dixcel-uk.html although good luck sourcing some, I've been waiting since September for a set of front discs to come into stock.

Also have a look here for a cheaper BBK alternative: https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=813419

K-sport are good for the money, not sure on clearence with OEM wheels but they give impressive stopping power and reliability from what i've read.

unfortunately you missed out on the hispec group buy, i suppose you could give them a ring to see if they could make another set up for you at those prices.
