Supercharger do I need one
OK I have been toying with this for a while and have followed with interest the various installs and comments. I am still not convinced though so thought I would give all a chance to pitch in and discuss this.
op 1
You can never have enough power and a supercharger just transforms the car to another level
op 2
The only time you need more power is in a straight line as you are never at max on the bends, probably better off with NOs for a little extra straight line grunt and tweak the suspension to get the most out of the 240 hp Honda gave you.
I am not trying to take the p*ss here I am genuinely interested in what both sides of the NA / FI fence have to say (as long as its constructive)

Bibbs, please for my sanity remove your list of negatives.
I could add to them
Just being totally honest.
It's expensive and not just the initial outlay. It's then more expensive to run, and bits with break quicker.
Looking back, would I do it again? Yes, I'd have just done it earlier than I did.

Ox, the NA / FI debate is a long and well discussed one but I would say 3 things to help you decide.
1) Are you a road or track person? I would bet that a mildly setup NA car (suspension / brakes / final drive) would stick with a 350 bhp S/C car. If you are a straight line merchant then you will need some fairly extreme gearing (which will cut your top speed) and some breathing mods.
2) Can you deal with the practicality issues? There are some. Insurance / wear on parts / fitting hassles / getting mapping sorted etc. If you are into cars then these points arent a huge issue, but its sometimes easy to gloss over.
3) Budget. If you have lots of wedge then I would go for a good turbo setup or a tasty N/A setup. If you are tighter on budget then a few NA mods or a basic S/C setup is what you want.
For the money you cant beat FI for bigger power figures, but as with anything there are downsides!
NOS is a bit gay really - steer clear IMO.
