Default Supercharging for dummies

So here it all is;

One supercharger project for a totally inept s2000 ower who doesn't have the faintest idea as to what he is doing. I don't even own a socket set.

I have purhcased and am waiting for delivery of the following;

Vortech Supercharger - as previously owned by DBM and simon prelude.

AEM 1012 unused but included in the supercharger deal. Prob need the extension harness, but going to take a chance and see what my installer chap says.

650cc injectors courtesy of danw

Injector clips

14psi pulley and a 10psi pulley (and of course the Vortech 7psi one), and two 50" belts (one came with dan's pulley and a bought an other one... didn't realise they were the same size) - I think i'll be using the 10psi pulley for the time being.

AEM UEGO gauge all brand new in its box

Hardtopguy Clutch kit and ACT flywheel (after reading about various options for hours and hours this seemed the best for me... who knows)

An SPA Oil Temp/Pressure guage

Modify's temp gauage fix

A timing chain tensioner (its a bit rattley)

Iridium spark plugs

So all i need now is some oil (i'll let the installer decide that) and A pillar pods (with the help of Mr. Bibbs).

Then on the 7th of July my car is going on it's holidays for two weeks to bonnie Scotland, where the well respected Honda guru Henry (aka the_kat from various other honda forums) will install the various bits and tune my car.

On the 19th of July i will fly back to Scotland and collect my car before the long drive to Peterborough and JAE. Should be an interesting (if risky) running in experiment. After JAE it's back up then road for Henry to give it the once over and the boat home. Phew.

So there we have it... however i am still considering a few other parts namely;

Berks Decat pipe
Spoon rad cap, thermostat and thermo swicth
AEM 3.5bar MAP sensor

I'd like to thank everyone on this forum who has helped me understand what all these bits do and why i need them. And also sold me bits at very reasonable prices. (It's an expensive little experiment!)

Any extra advice at this stage would also be greatfully received

Chris

14 psi on a stock engine is on the edge.

I've only heard good things about the Kat, hope it all goes well for you.

If you are thinking of supercharging get that one on the 4sale forum, great price.

I'm sure if you gave Bibbs a load of beer tokens he would help you fit the kit.

I feel its best to have a little hands on then you know what's what if anything goes wrong.

I loved fitting the kit.

Get the crank pulley swapped and I can do the rest over a weekend.

My comments

* The Vortech needs the sump pulling and modding for the oil return. The blower can't have done many miles in it's like
* As other have said 14 psi is too much with out lowering the compression ratio. That needs the Inline Pro/Cometic 3mm head gasket.
* As you are going the AEM route I would decat now for the sake of
