Just buy a faster car, it will be easier and cheaper!

Or... why not ask..

Hands up who as a supercharger.
Keep them up if the car is a daily drive.
and keep them up if the car has proven reliable and trouble free over the last 9000 miles.

That'll narrow the field down a lot.

Very happy with my Rotrex - went for the "low pressure" version - getting 285whp (330 crank) which gives it a good bit of extra without being too concerned about over stressing anything though it seems people on here are running 400hp without too many problems (that they let on anyway!!) Changes the drive completely.

Have you ever heard of 'Blackpool Rot'?

Come on, they are no way near as well built as the S, and some of the variants look like a baboon's arse. Have you seen what cars they have ripped parts off? The wing mirrors are off a Citroen CX, and the interior light is off an Escort!

I'm with Crispy on this one.

The stock S is a very reliable car.
I know lots of plenty of stories of Supercharged S's being somewhat troublesome and expensive.

I would like to hear some success stories though- as per my points above.

Daily drive, more than 9000 miles, no incidents.

And yes - I am still keen to go FI sometime.
