Not superchips

I wouldn't touch them ever!!! The best choices for a VAG car are AMD and REVO. Both cost around

You have plenty of choice:

REVO
AMD
MTM
APR
Superchips

and possibly a few more that I can't remember just now.

They all have the same effect: @260bhp & 270lbft. The effect is pretty astonishing

It's well worth researching this since different manufacturers have different options associated with their 'chips' e.g. valet mode, anti-theft mode, petrol octane number switching etc etc.

If it's a "plug and play" superchip .. I'll do it.

Did my mates ST202 Celica (followed by an Apexi RSM, Apexi SAFC II, and then a 50 bhp NO2 controller).

I've just put an Apexi VAFC II in the S2k ..

Superchips are very crude on turbo cars, in my experience.

They simply override the fuel cut for overboost, and up the boost settings. AFAIK there is little or no timing or fuelling compensation. At least a couple of years ago that was the case.

Stick to the AMD / REVO options.

I had my S3 done at AmD, and they were fantastic. Proper rolling road job, which you don't get with Superchips or Revo.

Amazing performance, too

I've had a remap by AmD and they were great - before and after power runs + had the car for 2 years after the remap and always ran smoothly, etc .... no problems whatsoever.

I have used Superchips years ago and all was OK with them but their remaps are - as has been stated already - generic and not mapped to your specific car ....... though they can do this they charge alot for it.

FWIW I would very happily go to AmD again.
