I've just been treating mine with Bilt Hamber Hydrate 80 which I highly recommend,

Same as mine in the first post
last Mot suggested under sealing underneath,done that myself
also drained my boot of water over a year ago,dont think its seen rain since then but must check again soon.

I've been under my s2k a few times and it looks like they should be able to get at all bits they need if they remove a few of the plastic covers.
