Default Swapped Back Discs

I got my new discs on Friday from JAKAN, the service was top notch, parts look quality. Fitted no probs using the FAQ on back brakes as a guide, re-torqued/lubed the rear axle nuts which got rid of the clicking too.. who needs dealers?

Has anyone tried JAKAN (northampton?) for servicing? sposed to be Honda approved and seeing as how my local dealer is high on my hit list for various crimes against my wallet/S2 I thought about usin em..

What, where, who?

They sound like they may be worth a visit, have you got a weblink or any further info?

http://www.jakan.co.uk

I've heard only good things about them.

Does their stamp in your book keep you in line with the warranty, do they use Honda Parts? and do they do warranty work?

Hasn't the law recently changed that manufacturers can no longer insist on their own stamp in a service book being appropriate to maintain warranty?

Hi guys,

The law changed last year (Block Exemption) meaning that your car can be serviced by non manufacturers garages within warranty as long as genuine or parts of equivilent quality are used.

We recieve daily parts deliveries from Honda UK and also supply BluePrint Japanese made components.

Our stamp will maintain the manufacturers warranty, but any warranty repair work must be carried out by a Honda dealer.

Hope this is of some help

Regards

Dan - I was going to call you and ask you about this. HondaUK told me different....

Thank you for your email.
Jakan Honda are not Honda approved, therefore, you will not be able to get
any warranty work done there. Please find below details of your nearest
Honda approved dealership.

Crown Honda (Bushey Heath)

Hi there,

As your edit points out. we can service cars within warranty but cannot carry out warranty repair work as this must be done within Honda UK.

Please see below.

Lets start by taking the Authorised Repair opportunity. Well, when I say opportunity, to be honest there has yet to be clarification as to what this could mean for your business.
