Default Tail light upgrade

Has anyone done the LED tail light upgrade?

Found a decent price for the lights but just wondering how easy they are to fit??

Thanks

A friend of mine found a place in Central London who sell them, so yes I'm sure they will have more!

I will find out the details and let you know...

Shipley (I think) has done this.

I already have the lights - just got to get them fitted some time soon !

Thanks Bharat, I may ask Shipley's advice then!

I really want to do it too....I found some threads on the US forum saying how difficult it is to do and how you have to modify the rear to fit them, but is US spec different to UK?

The seller of the lights I found seemed to think it was a straight swap.

No, it's NOT a straight forward swap.

Some cutting of the metal is needed, also the LEDS use a different connector.

Here's the link to Shipley's conversion.

I have a mate who works for Honda Swindon and he said it is just a straight swap takes about half an hour, the front ones are the difficult ones.

Additionally, you may want to get 2 American lights (the ones without the fog lamp) as your foglamp should already be mounted below the rear bumper. This will give it a more balanced view.

the UK ones have 1 reversing lamp & 1 fog lamp !

If you don't get the American version with the additional reversing lamp it makes the car look worse IMO.

You only need the American offside one as that is where the UK fog lamp is.

I don't like the lights not being symmetrical on the UK ones
