tangoed by a boxster!
I've had my Tango coloured 'S' for 2 months now and love the forum! Thought I'd tell you a story!
As a man of 'advancing' years I do not hold with the childish habit of 'racing' other motorists, most immature and dangerous! However over Easter i found myself at a set of traffic lights with a baseball-capped chap in a black Boxster 'S'.
Clearly from the way he was revving the thing he wanted a race! Well, I thought this will be interesting and we both blasted off from the lights......
The Boxster was very quick away and as we approached a roundabout he had pulled about 2 car lengths in front, I thought at this point 'nothing to lose' (except life, life of son and 20k's worth of car) so when he began to break for the bend i kept my foot down!
Now it was very dry and all my 2 months of ownership with the car had convinced me that it stuck to the road very well when pushed and boy did I push it!! He was on the inside and so I had a better line and drew level with the chap as we exited the roundabout, we both floored it but of course I was in VTEC and howling up to 9,000 revs..... bye bye Porsche!
He then did that thing drivers do when beaten and slowed down pretending to look at the scenery and pretended he wasn't really having a race!!
What was interesting in this was the sheer acceleration of the 'S' when on the move and the phenomenal grip on that roundabout. Love the car and love the forum, thou' i think you're all crazy....

Nice story salty
Theres probably not many people on here who have raced boxster Ss as most of the drivers will probably not want to ruin their hair or will find it demeaning to race a HONDA
No doubt he will be more careful if he comes across your or other S2ks in the area
