TGM are great but yes they are very busy.

I agree with you I think if you book your car in that's fine otherwise be prepared to wait. TBH though I would expect exactly the same anywhere else that's busy. If he wasn't we'd be complaining the work was cr*p

Not the first time I have heard this about collection / time for work to be carried out, and it's a shame because the quality of work appears to be good.

Taking on too many jobs is never a good thing - but then it must be difficult to turn away business.

And £450 is pretty expensive for a 54k service IMO.

Sounds like, although their work maybe good, they don't know how to manage a workload.

My mechanic is sometimes busy, that's why he tells me to bring the car wednesday rather than monday and have it sitting round doing nothing for two days....

Or is this a different issue?

Very expensive! I paid £380 (with Owners Club discount) at Lloyds Honda Carlisle and they have a very good reputation on here plus they also give the car a wash.

when you are already busy?

of course it isn't

I am busy tomorrow - therefore I will not agree to do some work for a second or third client tomorrow

I've never had a problem with TGM or Tom.

I and a few friends have used them many time and he always offers top service.

Sometimes there are delays, but they're usually related to getting the correct parts in, rather than them taking a long time to get the work done.

Bearing in mind with the recent weather of fleet being completely submerged in snow for the last few weeks, I wouldn't be surprised if they've been having problems sourcing the parts required.
