I think Cedric has one that works on the S2000 from when he had his MR2.

Also check out allroadster.com for their bike rack

This is the one I use. I've had two mountain bikes on it with no problems. I originally bought it for the MR2, and had almost given up hope of finding one that would clear the rear spoiler, when I found this one in a specialist bike shop.

Ir wasn't cheap at about

Cedric

I was just about to post this very thread , as since the stook arived I have hardly been out on my bike . I have put on @ least a stone in weight I have been informed that this must change

So with that type of rack you have sufferd no boot lid damage?

Previously we have have used tow bar mounted racks to carry up to 5 bikes obviously not now rquired with only 2 in the car

I bought it from a place called Daves Cycles in Brownhills, (Near Walsall) Tel 01922- 372584. There's no part or serial no. on it..... sorry.

We've had two bikes on it on about 3 occassions.. each 20 mile round trips with no damage at all. The problem is, we're now paranoid about leaving the car any length of time as it so vunerable with the soft top. Sad I know!

Bringing this thread back from the dead, sorry, but a question for CT.....

It looks like the rack sits on the bumper as one of the supports.... does this bend the bumper while it is on?

I was looking at a friends bike rack on the S2000 and his definitely bends the bumper when loaded. I am just worried that it could do some permanent damage on a longer journey.... ??

I too have the same one as Cedric. I got it from a cycle shop in Enfield a good few years ago... I believe they also stocked them in Halfords. I have not found any problems with the bumper but I don make sure that the lower arm is tucked in as close to the body as possible.

Keep well
Peter

Classic Carriers in the Netherlands and the US do a nice boot rack and I think they have cycle attachments
