Default Tim's S2000 Project

Hi guys

New here. Just on Tuesday past I decided to trade in my Racing Blue Clio 200 today in place of a 2008 S2000 in Moon Rock.
The clio was fantastic, I absolutely loved that little car. Handled like it was on rails, and I had finally got it looking like I had always imagined it.
Leaving her behind at the dealers today was very emotional, nearly brought a tear to my, but I have always admired S2000s and had always said, one day!

So that day has come and well what can I say. I absolutely love it! It is completely standard (for now), and because it is a 2008 model has the jdm s2000 type s suspension setup. 9k rpm can get very addictive
It is a totally different drive to the clio and no doubt will take some time to get use to, but like the clio, it just makes you want to go driving all the time!

I have a few ideas in mind for her, and I will be sure to keep a track of them in here as this little project progresses.

I would just like to leave you with the final few pictures of my clio and of course a few of the S after I finally got her home from Rosstrevor.

Enjoy and as always, all comments welcome. I look forward to having a good read through this forum. Seems a great place and It has already helped me out immensely.

Tim

Well I've the car 5 days now and have been trying to drive it as much as I can in order to get accustomed to the new driving style and learn about the cars characteristics. It's a dream car and I'm just so happy to finally have one!

And so it begins.

Ordered a few tasty goodies today with more to follow very shortly.

A full carbon fibre Mugen style hardtop from Rockstar Garage will follow on Tuesday all being well and then some tasty Wedsports in the not to distant future.

All comments welcome

Love the Clio! I had a 197 F1.

Dislike the term 'project'

I'd be interest to hear about the quality of the HT when you get it, and the weight

Wow! You don't hang about do you! Great looking Clio and a great base car for your plans! Plans that have taken a massive leap already. Great work, I will keep an eye on this one for sure. Welcome!

So that day has come and well what can I say. I absolutely love it! It is completely standard (for now), and because it is a 2008 model has the jdm s2000 type s suspension setup. 9k rpm can get very addictive
Never heard about this suspension before, any more info?

It's the standard MY08 suspension, nothing particularly fancy about it, almost certainly better than the Meister-R stuff though. Rides higher of course.

There is mention of it in the Evo review here: http://www.evo.co.uk/carreviews/evoc..._s2000_gt.html

Thanks mate. Yeah got bit by the mid bug already. After I get my initial plans out of the way then I'll take it easy and save for any future plans. Don't want to goad and ruin what is a fantastic car already!
