Default Time for new tyres

Evening everyone

My S needs two new tyres for the rears. I was thinking of the Goodyear Eagle F1's GSD3's, however, don't think they make them anymore ?

Next option is Michelin Pilot Sports 2, quite expensive but probably worth it.

Any others that are good ?

Thanks

What year is your S2000 and what size wheels ??

if 16" then Bridgestone now recommend the RE050 as the SO2's are no longer produced, if the 17" then OEM RE050.

See the FAQ.

It has the 17" wheels, the FAQ recommends the Bridgestone RE050s, are these the best available, wanted to hear some opinions/experience.

RE050 or F1 GSD3's

Both are good. The Goodyears slightly harder IIRC

I recently changed from the Toyo Proxes that were on the car when I bought it, to Bridgestones - I have an 05, with 17" wheels.

And what a transformation! The car inspires much greater confidence, it handles better and the ride has improved a tad. Ok, a good set of rubber can't compensate for a prat behind the wheel, but I feel a lot happier heading into the winter months with these tyres on, especially given the number of posts about tricky poor-weather handling.

On 17" fitment, RE050 MZ's
Oh and you might want to consider getting your geo done by Chris at Centergravity too, that'll make a big difference to the way the car feels.
