Default Toby's build thread

So Ive bit the bullet and gone from my ep3 civic type r to a y reg s2000.

I felt a need for a change and there wasn't much left that was standard on the civic! running 248bhp
This is how the civic looked a year or so ago at mimms

So I picked up this y reg s2k in Black. 49k on it! love driving it! torque obviously isn't as good as my civic was down low but its such a rewarding drive! main issue is the exhaust at the moment which is a junk2, which should be for sale soon!

Anyway here is some poor pictures! just done a clay and machine polish.

Ive already had the rear bumper off and sorted the leaky pressure flap thing, decided to use under seal in the inside of the boot just in case it decides to leak again.

Also treated the rear arches, the inner skin had some slight surface rust but nothing too bad!

To do list:

. Invidia q300 (arriving Tuesday!)
. Coilovers, probably Meisters! And get any bushes/adjustment bolts sorted probably only have a 20mm drop or so
. roll front and rear aches + rear tab relocation
. Possibly get another set of rpf1's silver or black in 17x9 +45 with 245/40 tyre's all round, though I really want a set of ce28n's!

And that's probably it for now!

As I've read, its pretty pointless tuning n/a, never know I may try a s/c or turbo

Looks very nice. You need to fix the roof as well (replace elastic), it's not fully folded there.

Product and guide here: http://www.modifry.com/products/ctf/index.htm

In the mean time, when the roof is half folded, you can push the bar that's normally above your head backward, then it'll fold fully.

Richmc makes nice elastic straps if you don't fancy making them by yourself.

Not on here much these days but just had to say that I'm excited for you tobyCHIPPO that you have an S.

Know that you are hands on and a chip off the old CHIPPO block. Respect. Looking forward to driving with you at some point.
