Default Toing Eye Covers....

Anyone lost their toing eye cover(s)?

I'd assumed it was sorted by 2001MY. Both were there when I picked the car up. Now the rear one's missing. I'm going to complain to the dealer tomorrow. I woudn't expect anything to fall off in less that a week and 700 miles...

Hence the poll. How are your toing eyes on UK roads...?

Do you mean towing eye covers ?
If so, maybe it was pushed out when some slimy low life damaged your car.
It is thought that bumper pressure from other cars can result in them coming loose.
Just a thought.

Er... yes excuse the spelling!

I check the area round the car after the I discovered the damage. No sign of the cover. I'm pretty sure it was there before though...

Sorry, but think about it again I'm back in ...

Never heard of something falling off a Honda.

Falling over/under, yes. Never off.

Probably a result of Mr/Mrs Givenuponlife colliding with your car.

Unless a sad loser stole it.

Probably the same sad loser who stole my G/F's baseball cap out of my car. If I'd have known someone's life was that sad, I'd have saved them the chewing gum from my shoe.

Saw two S2000's on Chiswick high street without their rear covers.

Thankfully mine are still attached. I must remember to check when leaving the meet

Blimey!

Work out the probability of that.

Or should we start a legend of the phantom cap-stealer of Old London Town?

I've still got both mine, but this does seem to be problem. One of the U.K. mags did a long term test on the S2000 and they noted losing both theirs. Here's a solution. Take 'em out and put 'em back with some clear silicon sealant behind 'em. A mate of mine used to do this with his hub caps after he got fed up of losing 'em.
You'd still be able to get them off if required, but a bit more effort would be required.

Thanks for the sealant suggestion. I don't mind them being difficult to take off as I hope never to need them off!

Still got both of mine, but I remember reading a review way back that commented on losing one of the covers quite quickly.
I guess most of us are just lucky
